How we look after your information

Who we are

Eddy is run by Eddy Education Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 17359228), 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. We are the data controller for the information you give us on this website. Contact us at hello@eddyeducation.com.

What we collect and why

When a parent, guardian or tutor joins the waitlist, we collect:

your email address — to tell you when pilot places open and, if you agree, to send updates;
your child's school year — to plan the pilot for the right age groups;
what your child finds hardest about revision, and your interest in a paid pilot — to shape what we build.

Some of this information is about your child. We only ask for what we need to plan the pilot. We do not ask for your child's name, any diagnosis or any health information. The waitlist is for adults (18+) only; children should not sign up.

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We do not use any site analytics.

Lawful basis

We rely on your consent, which you give by ticking the privacy agreement box. Marketing updates are a separate, optional consent. You can withdraw either at any time by emailing us, and we will stop using your information for that purpose.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist information for up to 24 months from when you sign up, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever is sooner. We then delete it securely.

Where it's stored and who helps us

Our website and database are provided through Lovable, with data stored by Supabase, our database provider. These providers act on our instructions and protect data to UK GDPR and EU GDPR standards. Where data is processed outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations. We never sell your information.

Sharing

We don't share your information with anyone except the providers above, unless the law requires it.

Keeping it safe

Access to waitlist information is limited to the Eddy team and protected by secure logins. We don't use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your information, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent. To use any of these rights, email hello@eddyeducation.com. We will aim to reply within 2 weeks, and within one month at the latest.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
